Mike Johnston, a.k.a. “Truth”, will bring a touch of San Antonio history alive with this unique Texas portrait of Johnny Cash. Highlighted on the cover of Texas Monthly, “Truth” is known as a street art evangelist bringing the message of joy to the masses. Clients whose lives have been brightened by his work include Google Fiber, Uber, X Games, Mellow Mushroom, NFL, Austin City Limits, South by Southwest, Paramount Pictures, Alamo Drafthouse, and Nike. Johnny Cash is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, and his young adult life and his music were shaped by his time in San Antonio. The painting will be completed on site during the silent auction and brought to life as our first live auction package!
